Inauguration Tour
On January 20th 2009 the President of the
United States will be inaugurated into office.
Whether it is Senator McCain or Senator Obama
who takes office this will be an historic
event with world wide significance. Without
doubt one of the most memorable experiences
of any citizen’s life is the making of
this patriotic pilgrimage to our nation’s
capitol to witness history in the making.
For this event Apex Tours has reserved hotel
space in historic Gettysburg. Tours of the
famous battlefield are included. An optional meeting with “Mr.
Lincoln” will enable visitors to ask
questions about his historic inauguration and
the dilemmas of a war time president., A pre-inauguration
dance with a DJ playing the student’s
favorite tunes is planned along with other
evening activities to keep the students entertained.
Travel to the Inauguration ceremony with be
via the nearby Metro. Each group will be escorted
by one of our professional tour directors to
ensure its safe and expeditious travel to and
from the Inauguration event. Actual time tables
and schedule of events will be provided once
these details are made available by the Presidential
Inauguration Committee. This tour can be conducted
as an overnight trip exclusively to witness
the Inauguration or customized into a multi-day
trip to enable the group to visit the capitol
and other historic sites after the Inauguration
ceremony.
Please note you do not have to “fill the
bus” to participate in this tour as we
have traditionally been able to combine schools
on a bus and make it possible for small groups
to participate in this terrific educational
